Main Street Music Fest

The Village of Park Forest, in conjunction with the 58th Annual Park Forest Art Fair, will host a music festival on Saturday, September 21, 2013 from Noon – 5:30 p.m. The lineup of bands performing includes an eclectic mix of renowned artists from Chicago and the Southland area. Come on out to downtown Park Forest for a day of rock, jazz, blues and more! Admission is free.

Lexus BBM  (Noon – 1 p.m.)
Lexus BBM was formed in 1999.  Lead by Henry Smith, the founder and Musical Director, Lexus BBM specializes in old school and contemporary R &B and features many top musicians from the Chicagoland area.  Great musicians to play with Lexus BBM have included musicians who have also played with Kool & the Gang and the Ohio Players.  The Band has been honored to play for the Department of Children and Family Services, Sickle Cell Anemia Foundation, Black on Black Love and the Indiana Delegation for the Obama Inauguration Party in Washington D.C.

Hayfield Concept  (1:30 p.m. – 2:30 p.m.)
The Hayfield Concept brings rock and bluegrass into play with its extended instrumental jams. They are unique in their variety of style. While they are not afraid of the "Jam Band" label, their debut album "Where's my other shoe?" (2012) reveals a diverse and perhaps unexpected range of influences.

Muzicnet Staff  (3 p.m.- 4 p.m.)
The talented teaching staff of Park Forest’s very own MuzicNet School of Music will perform smooth jazz and R & B. When not sharing their love of music with students, these musicians have performed world-wide with top bands and musicians. They combine their talent for this special performance.
