South Suburban not-for-profit Theatre & Arts Leadership Kouncil (TALK), empowers teens to become difference-makers in their community through the arts and this week TALK will premiere and close its first original, scripted dramatic work, Thanatos. The crew of Thanatos embodies TALK’s approach of featuring teen works and getting teens to network with others to get their work seen. TALK teens have not only been involved in all aspects of this production, but have "driven" them.
Thanatos, written and directed by TALK Kontributor, Rosemary Joyce, is a charming, yet emotional play and although the storyis written, directed and acted by a younger set, it addresses themes of young adulthood (think PG or PG-13).
Rosemary is a 15 year old Sophomore at Homewood-Flossmoor High School and is the Chair of TALK’s Performing Arts Kommittee. For more information about TALK, visit http://www.talksouthland.org/
