E-Waste Recycling at Farmer's Market
Residents will have the opportunity to recycle unwanted electronic items on Saturday, Aug. 27, from 8-11:30 a.m. at the French Market.
The Assistive Technology Exchange Network refurbishes donated computers and gives them to Illinois children in special education programs.
Accepted items include:
- PC and Macintosh computers
- Printers
- Monitors
- Disk drives
- Cell phones
- Ink jet cartridges
- Peripherals (mice, keyboards, etc.)
- CD-ROM drives
- Software (original discs)
- Server equipment
- Communication devices
- Low-tech devices (switches, key guards,etc.)
