Where Does Bullying Start and Stop?

During the last several months the issue of bullying has taken a front seat in the American media. From onlinebullying to stories of bullying in our schools, all the way up to the Richie Incognito story of bullying in an NFL locker room, it seems we've stumbled on a real problem with no clear solution.

But that has to change. Increasing evidence suggests that bullying doesn't just stunt a victim's focus and academic achievement when it occurs in the classroom, but the psychological effects of bullying persist long after the incident(s).

So where does "putting an end to bullying" begin? Most likely, we need to understand why students choose tobully their classmates in the first place.
