Homewood's Most Hardcore Shopper Is Already In Line

How far would you go to save some dough?

By the time you read this, there's a good chance Homewood's Tom Gio has already been in line at Best Buy for at least five hours—more likely, overnight.

Gio secured his front of the line spot around 4:30 p.m. Wednesday afternoon. He says he always hits Black Friday hard, but this is a new level of dedication.

The $500, 55-inch LG LED is his main motivation.

There's a method to Gio's seeming madness, though. He claims his efforts will save him nearly $1,000, which equates to roughly $30 saved for every hour he'll wait.

"If you're going to play the game, you have to know the rules and have a game plan." Gio said. "I play to win."

Doors open at 6 p.m. Thursday. Only one below-freezing night to go.
