Western Avenue Students of the Month - Eli and Noah List

Student Achievement

Eli and Noah List are among some of the top students at Western Avenue.  These boys have worked hard to earn excellent grades while also upholding the six pillars of character.  Eli and Noah are in fifth grade this year and will be leaving Western Avenue in June.  Their time at Western Avenue has been filled with a lot of great memories.  Most recently, both Eli and Noah participated in our district spelling bee.  Both boys were selected to represent our school.  Eli actually came in third and his brother Noah came in fourth place in the competition.  Both boys also excel in mathematics.  Currently, they are busy focusing on learning quadratic equations and the Pythagorean theorem.  Eli and Noah also began competing in the math bowl when they were in first grade.  Every year, they have been selected to compete with students from other districts in their age bracket.  In first grade, Noah earned first place and Eli earned second place.  In second grade, Eli earned first place and Noah earned second place.  In third grade, the boys earned third and fourth place.  Eli actually won the competition again in fourth grade for his age bracket.  Also, the boys can be spotted spending time at the University of Chicago where their dad is head of the Economics division.

Furthermore, the boys love playing baseball.  They recently earned third place in a national competition in Omaha, Nebraska.  Their team also earned a state championship in 2011.  Keep up the good work boys!
