Jess Taylors HR gives HF Force 18u A Win in Joliet

Force and Northern Ice exchanged the lead four times on Saturday, but Force ended up on top with a 4-3 win in five innings over Northern Ice. Force finally managed to grab the lead after a strong fifth inning. Force scored on a two-run home run by Jessica Taylor , scoring Sam Donermeyer. Donermeyer paced Force at the plate. Donermeyer went 1-2, drove in one and scored two runs. She doubled in the fifth inning.  Sami Ulanski got the win for Force. She allowed three runs over five innings. Ulanski struck out three, walked none and gave up nine hits. In the bottom of the first, Force grabbed the early lead, 2-0. Force then tacked on more runs when Donermeyer scored on a steal of home. Force scored two runs of its own in the fifth.
