AAA Rental's Semi-Annual Tent Sale Benefits Southland Cancer Support Center

AAA Rental is holding their semi-annual tent sale on Saturday October 27th from 7AM-1PM at 167th St. & Kedzie Avenue. A portion of proceeds to the Cancer Support Center.

Most people view old furniture as a hassle - something to be arduously dragged to the corner or hauled to the dump. South suburban company AAA Rental System sees it as an opportunity to help local charities. As one of the region's largest provider of event rental equipment, AAA generates a backlog of equipment that it can no longer rent.

On Saturday, October 27th from 7:00am to 1:00pm, AAA Rental System will be holding their semi-annual tent sale of used equipment with a portion of all proceeds going to benefit the Southland Cancer Support Center. The company will be selling tents, tables, chairs and many other types of household, office and cooking equipment at their warehouse at 3020 West 167th Street. There will be free “super tacos” available with donation boxes and all money raised there will also go directly to the Southland Cancer Support Center.

The center provides a variety of services, free of charge, to those suffering from cancer as well as their families. It has locations in Homewood and Mokena which handle an average of over 300 visits or calls per week. “We are excited to be able to help an organization as integral to the community as the Southland Cancer Support Center” said AAA Co-Owner, Jay Heiferman. “This event has always been about both interacting with community as well as giving something back,” he added, referring to AAA’s policy of offering all unsold equipment as donations to local charities South Suburban Family Shelter, South Suburban P.A.D.S. and Aunt Martha’s Youth Services.
