F.H. Hosts Community Readers Day

Community members read with Flossmoor Hills students during American Education Week.

In observance of American Education Week, Flossmoor Hills students celebrated with a community readers day!  Many readers from the communities of Flossmoor, Homewood and Hazel Crest were invited to motivate and encourage the students to read.  The students of Flossmoor Hills were elated and excited to have Senator Toi Hutchinson of the 40th District read aloud to them.  Senator Hutchinson with much animation read aloud Grace for President by Kelly DiPucchio and encouraged the students to read!  Other readers included Mayor Braun (Flossmoor) and Mayor Hoefield (Homewood), Flossmoor School Superintendent Craig Doster, Flossmoor Fire Chief Sewell, Flossmoor Deputy Police Chief Pulec, Hazel Crest Librarian Mrs. Peaks and Flossmoor Librarian Mrs. Wegrzyn and Parker Jr. High Principal, Dr. Vanessa Atkins.
