HEATHER HILL STUDENTS PARTICIPATE IN SPECIAL OLYMPICS TOURNAMENT

Heather Hill student participated in Special Olympics basketball on Saturday, January 26.

Students from Heather Hill School participated in the Special Olympics basketball tournament on Saturday, January 26.  Each participant did an outstanding job and earned a medal for their efforts. Representing Heather Hill are Abednego Miller, William Tayui, Bruno Terrazas, and Donzel Marshall.  Also pictured above are additional students from Flossmoor School District 161. They include Courtney Davis, Winston Langston, Jennifer Fritz, Michael Gordon, and Steven Griffith from Parker Jr. High School.

Sandra Pinsky was the sponsor for these talented students. She teaches third, fourth and fifth grade students at Heather Hill.  Primary teacher Donna Blackwell also assisted Ms. Pinsky with this event. In order to help the students prepare for this event, Ms. Pinsky and Mrs. Blackwell coached the Heather Hill students twice weekly. Their efforts are indicative of the level of commitment and dedication of the Heather Hill team. Because of their hard work, our talented athletes will certainly remain active and will hopefully participate in future Special Olympics tournaments.
