Parker students 'race' to win at Special Olympics
Five Parker students competed in last week's Special Olympics held at Thornwood High School.
On Saturday, May 5, the Parker Junior High School special Olympics teams competed at Thornwood High School. Lead by teachers Mrs. Amanda Fernandez and Ms. Alyssa Sorensen, five students competed in the 50M Dash and Softball Throw. A great job done by all participants:

On Friday, May 4, Parker Junior High School students, staff, and administrations held a send off ceremony in which the athletes practiced their events, took pictures with other students, and were given high-fives and words of encouragement. The send-off is held annually for the Special Olympics Athletes.
