New Kindergarten Aide Has Long History with St. Joseph School

St. Joseph School new kindergarten aide has a long history with school.

For over 30 years, Mrs. Mary Ann Schramm has been a part of the St. Joseph School family, as a parent, volunteer, extended day supervisor, and now a full-time Kindergarten Aide. Her three daughters and one grandson are all graduates of the school.  Schramm said she’s “never regretted a day” since becoming involved with the Homewood school in 1980.

“I love the children and parents and the fact that we are like one big family,”  she said.

Schramm was hired as the full-time kindergarten aide because of a large increase this year in the school’s kindergarten enrollment. As an aide, she helps teacher, Mrs. Kelly Durkin, with everything from collecting the folders and office correspondence to helping with the teaching of math and with the learning centers.
