H-F Holiday Tree Lighting Reminder

Holiday tree lighting ceremonies are only two weeks away!

In case you haven’t noticed, the holiday season is approaching with breakneck speed.

Believe it or not, we’re only two weeks away from tree lighting.

On Friday, Dec. 2 Homewood is hosting it’s fourth annual Holiday Lights celebration. The festivities kick off in downtown Homewood with trolley rides beginning at 6:30 p.m. and the sponsored tree lighting at 7 p.m. After the lighting, trolleys will stop throughout downtown Homewood for shopping and to Hickory Road, which will be transformed into a holiday market with real reindeer, carolers, ice sculptures and much more.

Flossmoor will be following up Homewood’s Holiday Lights with Winterfest on Saturday, Dec. 3. All kids are welcome to meet Santa and play games from 2:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the and the village will be collecting toys for charity from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Coldwell Bank. The Choir will sing during the downtown tree lighting ceremony at 5 p.m.
