Obituary: Homewood Florist Delivery Driver Brought Blooms, Joy to Many

Edward J. Kurz Jr., the delivery driver for the Homewood Florist for 35 years, died suddenly Sunday, June 16, at his Thornton home. He is survived by his his wife Linda and three sons, Daniel, Brad and Andrew, among other family members.

For the past 35 years, Edward J. Kurz Jr., known as ‘Eddie,’ has delivered flowers to area residents for all types of occasions—from proms to Valentine's Day and more. On Sunday, June 16, Kurz passed away at his Thornton home. He was 61 years old, according to a Panozzo Bros. Funeral Home obituary.

Kurz is survived by his wife, Linda, and his three sons, Daniel, Brad and Andrew, among other family members.

A visitation for Kurz will take place Wednesday, June 19, at the Panozzo Bros. Funeral Home,  530 W. 14th Street, in Chicago Heights, from 3 to 9 p.m. A funeral mass will take place Thursday, June 20, at St. Anne Church, 16802 Dixie Highway, Hazel Crest, at 10 a.m.
