Community Corner

T.A.L.K.

Homewood-Flossmoor, IL – South Suburban not-for-profit Theatre & Arts Leadership Kouncil (TALK), empowers teens to become difference makers in their community through the arts and are currently in the process of organizing TALK’s first Poetry Slam and Teen Music Festival. Both events are drenched in teen involvement. From teen performers, to teen planners, the TALK Poetry Slam and Music Festival will be teen planned and produced. Teen involvement embodies TALK’s approach to showcase teen work and provides teens a mean to exercise leadership skills. It is TALK’s goal that these events will focus on attracting teens from all over the south suburbs, so they too can advocate for social justice through their art work.
