UPDATE: $100,000 Bail For Gunman, Driver in Homewood Armed Robbery

A girl was robbed of her cellphone at gunpoint on Aug. 20, Homewood police said. Two men have been charged with armed robbery.

A gunman jumped out of the back of a van and robbed a girl of her cellphone at gunpoint before he and his partner drove away, Homewood police said.

Bail was set at $100,000 for Will Hull, 22, of the 17000 block of Paxton, South Holland and Roosevelt Winding, 18, of the 3500 block of Chestnut, Hazel Crest. Both men are charged with robbing a girl, police said.

The two men drove away in minivan when they robbed the girl on Aug. 20., police said.

The victim was walking at about 4:22 p.m. in the 18000 block of Los Angeles Avenue, when the dark blue minivan pulled up, police said.

A man leapt out of the back of the van and drew a black semi-automatic handgun, police said. He grabbed the girl's cellphone before getting back into the van and driving away.

The two men were apprehended by police at a 7-eleven at 183rd St. and Kedzie Ave.

Hull and Winding are due on Sept. 11 in Markham court.
