2 Men Rob Boy at Gunpoint: Police

Cash and other items were taken in a robbery on June 22, according to Homewood police.

Two men robbed a boy at gunpoint on June 22, police said.

The robbery happened at about 10:20 p.m. in the tennis courts near Hickory Road and Aberdeen Street, according to police. The victim had sold a witness a pair of shoes when he was approached by a man wearing black clothing and a black mask.

The masked man told the boy to lie on the ground, according to a Homewood police report. When the boy pushed away, the man drew a black, semi-automatic pistol and hit the victim several times in the head.

The boy heard a second man's voice approach after he fell to the ground, the report states. The two men went through is pockets and took cash and other items.

No arrests have been reported.
