Driver Tells Cop He Had a 'Few' Drinks: Blotter

iPod Lost In Car Burglary

Someone broke into a car and took a Kohl's shopping bag containing recently bought clothing, an iPod nano and cash, according to a report. The victim was not sure if the car was locked. The burglary happened sometime between 12:30 and 1:56 p.m.

Retail Theft Of Baseball Hat

Levander Peterson, 19, of the 14900 block of Langley Avenue, Dolton, was charged with retail theft. He is accused of taking a baseball hat at about 7:29 p.m. from Kohl's, 17620 Halsted St. He is due June 14 in Markham court.

A "Few" Drinks

Rontel Pullum, 38, of the 12800 block of Elizabeth Street, Calumet Park, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, DUI with a blood-alcohol level greater than 0.08, driving with a suspended license and driving without insurance, according to a report. Police stopped Pullum at about 7:54 p.m. when he was seen speeding through the intersection of Bruce Lane and Arquilla Drive. Pullum allegedly told police he had a "few" drinks. An officer also noticed a crushed beer can in the cup holder. He is due on June 17 in Markham court.

Shattered Car Window

A front window of car parked in a driveway in the 1800 block of Evergreen Road was shattered, according to a report. The victim told police he would follow through with charges against the perpetrator, if found. The total amount needed to fix the window is $250.
