Bar Brawl at Homewood Bowling Alley

A 30-year-old County Club Hills resident was charged with battery after allegedly punching a man in the face, police said.

A misunderstanding at a Homewood bowling alley led to a thrown fist and the arrest of a Country Club Hills woman, according to police.

Michelle Garner, 30, of the 4400 block of Provincetown Drive, was charged with battery, according to a Homewood police report.

A security employee at Brunswick Zone, 3043 183rd St., allegedly saw Garner punch a man in the face at about 12:30 p.m. on Nov. 1 and had to break up a fight between the two people, the report states.

The victim told police there was a misunderstanding between Garner and him while they were both in the bowling alley bar. They had walked outside to the front of the established where Garner allegedly punched him in the mouth before being restrained by security.

Police did not notice any visible injury on the victim, who also refused medical treatment.

The victim pressed charges when Garner was arrested, the report states. She was released and is due on Dec. 11 in Markham court.
