Car Stolen with Keys in the Ignition near Speedway: Blotter

Homewood police reports, April 16-18.

THURSDAY, APRIL 18

Retail Theft Charge For Hoosier Man

Jeremiah Green, 22, of the 1000 block of Lincoln Highway in Schereville, IN, was charged with retail theft, according to a report. He is accused of taking $125.94 worth of baby formula from Target, 17605 Halsted St. Store employees also unsuccessfully tried to catch a second person they believed was stealing items.

Car Theft At Speedway

A car left outside of Speedway, 18002 Halsted St., was stolen, according to a report. The owner told police he parked near the entrance to the gas station at about noon and left the keys in the ignition. When he returned, his car was gone.

TUESDAY, APRIL 16

Dog Collars Stolen

Dog collars and leashes were stolen from Petco, 17930 Halsted St., according to a report. Employees believe the theft happened between 1 p.m. on April 15 and 10 a.m. April 16.
