The fire reportedly sparked from an electrical outlet. Damm said flames traveled up the wall into the attic, but were contained within the space between two wall studs. A space heater was found plugged into the outlet where the fire began. No visible damage was apparent from the outside of the structure.

“We were able to keep the damage isolated to one area,” Damm said. “Credit goes to the homeowner for calling in so quickly—it could have been much worse.”
