Driver Charged with DUI Also Cited for Giving Fake Name: Blotter

Retail Theft


Tocarro Moore, 24, of the 15200 block of Wood, Harvey, was charged with retail theft, according to a report. Police were called at about 3:12 p.m. to Super Kmart, 17550 Halsted St., for a report of someone who walked out of the store with many pieces of clothing. Officers tracked down the suspect and arrested her. Moore is accused of taking $105.76 worth of clothing. She is due on July 23 in Markham court.

Driver Accused Of Giving Fake Name


Jacqueline Hughes, 34, of the 100 block of Parkside, Chicago Heights, was charged with driving under the influence, speeding, driving with a suspended license and driving without insurance, according to a report. Police spotted a car traveling 51 mph in a 30 mph zone at about 1:53 a.m. in the 18900 block of Dixie Highway. An officer reported smelling a strong odor of alcohol coming from the driver's breath. She initially gave a false name to the officer. During the stop, found a stun gun in the car. Hughes was arrested and taken to the Homewood Police Department, where she took a breath test. Officers confiscated the stun gun and cited her for both the gun and for obstructing police when she allegedly gave the fake name. Hughes is due on July 24 in Markham court.

SATURDAY, JUNE 15

Theft Of Clothing


Jenevia Carter, 24, of the 6700 block of South Campbell, Chicago, and Nakia Gunart, 23, of the 300 block of 69th Street, Chicago, were charged with retail theft, according to a report. The pair are accused of stealing clothing at about 3:04 p.m. from various departments inside Kohl's, 17620 Halsted St. Police said they took more than $1,200 worth of merchandise, combined.
