Driver Smacked with DUI Charges after Strip Club Trip: Blotter

Olympia Fields Driver Charged with DUI

Eduardo Ramos, 23, of the 900 block of Wingate in Olympia Fields, was charged with driving under the influence, DUI with a blood-alcohol level greater than 0.08, driving with a suspend license and speeding, according to a report. Police said Ramos was traveling 60mph in a 35mph zone. He was stopped at about 1:50 a.m. near 18200 Halsted Street. An officer reported smelling a strong odor of alcohol on his breath. Ramos said he had a few drinks at Club 390 strip club before he was pulled over. He took field sobriety tests after being taken to the Homewood Police Department; he also submitted to a breath test for his blood-alcohol level. Ramos is due in Markham court on May 8.

DUI Charge for Homewood Man

Henry Magnobosco, 46, of the 1100 block of Elder Road in Homewood, was charged with driving under the influence and speeding, according to a report. Police said Magnobosco was spotted traveling at a high rate of speed at about 9:25 a.m. He was stopped near the intersection of Olive Road and Riegel Road. Magnobosco was arrested after performing field sobriety tests. He is due in Markham court on May 31.

Dolton Woman Accused of Shoplifting Jeans

Lavender Campbell, 19, of the 14900 block of Evers Street in Dolton, was charged with retail theft, according to a report. She is accused of taking $88 worth of jeans at about 3:45 p.m. from Kohl's, 17620 Halsted St. Campbell is due in Markham court on May 7.
