FBI Searches for Walt's Bank Robber, Reward Offered [Update]

A well-dressed man brandishing a black pistol robbed MB Financial Bank inside Walt's Food Center on Friday afternoon.

The FBI is searching for a well-dressed man wearing a suit who robbed the MB Financial Bank branch inside Walt’s Food Center at 2345 W. 183rd Street in Homewood on May 13 around 1:30 p.m.

According to a report from the FBI, The man walked into Walt's, approached the teller counter and "orally announced a robbery," while brandishing a black pistol. The robber threatened to harm the teller in the event of noncompliance.

After receiving an undisclosed amount of cash, the robber fled, on foot, in an unknown direction. No shots were fired and no one was injured in the robbery, according to the FBI report.

The robber is described as a bald, white male, between six feet and six feet two inches tall, with a beard. He was wearing a black suit and glasses. Bandit Tracker Chicago announced a reward for his capture.
