FBI: TCF Bandit Linked to South Chicago Heights Robbery

The man who robbed the TCF location in Homewood inside of Jewel-Osco on Halsted may be responsible for an Aug. 12 robbery at another TCF location in South Chicago Heights.

The man who allegedly robbed the TCF location inside of Jewel on Halsted today may be tied with an Aug. 12 South Chicago Heights TCF  robbery, according to the FBI.

The TCF bandit, described as a black, heavy-set male somewhere between five-foot- eight and five-foot-ten inches high, was captured on camera wearing a baseball cap during both robberies. He was wearing a light colored long sleeve shirt during the Homewood robbery earlier today.

The bandit walked up to the TCF location within Jewel sometime around 9 a.m. earlier today and presented a note demanding cash, according to a Chicago Tribune report. He left, on foot, after receiving an undisclosed amount of cash, they said.

No weapon was reported shown during either robbery and nobody was injured, according to FBI reports.
