Flossmoor Man Held in Connection with Double Homicide

Justin Hamilton, 23, is accused of shooting two south side teens in the head Saturday morning.

The mother of a teen found shot to death Saturday claims her son was killed after a Facebook chat dispute over a phone cord, NBC reports.

Justin Hamilton, 23, of Flossmoor, is being held without bail Tuesday in connection with the shooting deaths of Jordan Means, 16, and Anthony Bankhead, 18, NBC reports.  Means and Bankhead were found dead in an apartment in the 8200 block of South Houston Avenue.

Hamilton was charged with two counts of first-degree murder, according to the report.

Means' mother Camille Cochran told reporters that the situation started online, and "an argument led to this, that’s crazy. .... Now, I don’t have my son no more."

Prosecutors allege Hamilton is a member of the Latin Kings street gang.

This is out of control! We have a culture that no longer values life! Who taught these kids that it is OK to wipe out a life over a stupid argument? Now we hav e two more of our children that are dead and another murderer in prison. WHY IS THIS KIND OF VIOLENCE TOLERATED IN OUR COUMMUNITY? It's not the guns that are killing these people! Where is the outrage? Where are the parents? Where are the religious leaders? Where are the role models? Oh, I know... The parents are at the bar, the religious leaders are race baiting and victim pimping us against each other, and the role models are shooting each other up in their gangsta videos.

I thought certain politicians for the past four decades have said they would erase poverty and these kind of living conditions? Where is the national media on the slaughtering of our kids? Why has this been happening in gun free zones? Why are the Feb/March murder rates in Chicago national news, but not the warmer months? Why haven't the mayors of Chicago done something to help the inner cities and forget about the flippin bean in Millenium Park? Why don't we create jobs for people to give them purpose and help our beleaguered free market system? Where have all the good role models gone? Where has the nuclear family gone? Why is church attendance way down in this country? Why why why? So sad.

1. Chicago made gun ownership illegal in 1986, thus insuring that all law-abiding citizens would be easy victims for the gangbangers. 2. Chicago set up ADC for single mothers to pay them more monthly 'assistance' for each child they had. (Any wonder that this produced more kids but no more husbands?) 3. Chicago forged a relationship with the Chicago Teachers Union to buy their votes with large salaries and pensions but literally no ovesight for teacher performance. 4. Everyone cries about 'no jobs' but conveniently fails to be clear that there are no jobs for grade school and high school dropouts that cannot read or write. (see #3). 5. The problem will never be solved because the Chicago politicians will not address the root cause because it offends those who vote for them. So blame guns, poverty, bad schools, no jobs. Just don't blame single mothers having 10 kids and no husband. Too bad they can't blame the Republicans because there aren't any.

Floss moor is a nice community and it's sad that your neighbor can be evil as a junk yard dog and you don't even know it. Why was this 23 year old grown man feuding with teenagers avyway? To take someone's life over a dispute is a sure sign that our society is full of mentally disturbed people.

Brandon hit the nail on the head. Our society is filled with mentally ill people. Our society needs to stop treating mental illness as taboo so the ill can get treated and not mocked. If left untreated, crime (including suicide) happens.
