Flossmoor Police Blotter: Stolen Pipes and a Found Bike

Stolen Pipes

Someone broke into a vacant Flossmoor home in the 1400 block of William Street and cut out numerous copper pipes from the ceiling, according to police. A real estate agent discovered the missing pipes and damage to the ceiling tiles at 1:50 p.m., police said. A report said the total damage is estimated at $2,400.

Friday, Feb. 25

Found Bicycle

Flossmoor police found an abandoned bicycle near the H-F Ice Arena at 11:31 a.m.

Wednesday, Feb. 23

Stolen Shades

Someone stole a pair of sunglasses from a Flossmoor woman’s vehicle parked in the 2100 block of Hagen Lane some time between 11:30 p.m. Feb. 22 and 4:30 a.m. Feb. 23, according to police. In addition to the stolen sunglasses, police said someone painted the initials “T.W.” on the lower right corner of the windshield with what appeared to be red nail polish.

Stolen Phone

A Homewood teen’s cell phone was stolen from his locker at Homewood-Flossmoor Community High School some time between 4:30 and 6 p.m. Jan. 6, police said. The theft was reported to police Feb. 23.
