[UPDATE] Flossmoor Police Foil Trio of Afternoon Burglars

An unnerving afternoon burglary was interrupted when the three burglars realized the homeowner was still inside. A swift response by Flossmoor Police lead to their capture.

A Flossmoor woman was at her home on the 3700 block of Culloden Street  Wednesday at 11:30 a.m. when three Country Club Hills men broke into her house, according to Flossmoor Police Deputy Chief Mike Pulec.

The homeowner swiftly called police while the intruders, shocked to see the woman at home, fled the scene heading eastbound on foot, according to Pulec.

Pulec said police promptly arrived and quickly obtained a description of the suspects from the homeowner and neighboring witnesses. 

Police proceeded to canvas the area, finding three subjects matching the description at the 3600 block of 198th Street, according to Pulec. He said the three burglars were taken into custody without incident.

According to Pulec, the witness positively identified the three burglars during a show up identification procedure. 

19-year-olds Orlandis Lilly of the 19000 block of Amlin in Country Club Hills and Niko Hines of the 19000 block of Loras Lane are being charged with one count of residential burglary, each. The third member, 17-year-old Michael Moss of the 4900 block of West 190th Street in Country Club Hills, is also being charged, as an adult, with one count of residential burglary.
