Flossmoor Police Investigating Rash of Home Burglaries

A third residential burglary occurred on the 1400 block of Cambridge Ave. on Thursday, Jan. 24 according to police.

Flossmoor police are on alert after yet another residential burglary occurred in what seems to be a pattern, according to a release from the department.

A break-in on the 1400 block of Cambridge Ave. sometime between 5:45 a.m. and 8:30 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 24 matches the description of two additional recent residential burglaries in the same neighborhood, according to police.

Police say the burglar or burglars are probably traveling on foot and searching for empty houses. There have also been reports of mysterious doorbell rings within the neighborhood—possibly to test whether anyone is home. Police ask anyone who notices suspicious activity call 911 immediately.
