Drunken Antics Lead to Trouble, Banishment from H-F Parks

Stanley Williams, 27, 4104 Lindenwood Drive, Matteson, was charged with disorderly conduct at 8:26 p.m. for filing a false police report. Police said they first cited Williams with public intoxication after he urinated on a light pole at 183rd Street and Perth Avenue. About 10 minutes later, he reportedly called 911 and said police harassed him and they’d "better not do it again." Williams was also charged with criminal trespass to state-supported land because they eventually found him in Homewood Estates Park. He had been warned after a prior incident he was not welcome in any Homewood-Flossmoor park.  Williams has a court date of July 24 in Markham.

Wanted: Cable and Bike Lock Strong Enough for Metra Station

Someone cut through a large cable lock and took a black men’s Trek Mountain bike from the bike rack at the Metra Station parking lot, 18020 Harwood Ave. The $300 bike, taken between 5:45 a.m. and 4:20 p.m., has red lettering, two water bottle holders and a red flashing LED light mounted on the back end.

Domestic Split Lip

Michael Lang, 50, of 1549 W. 183rd St., was charged with domestic battery after he punched and cut the lip of his girlfriend during an argument in a car, in a parking lot in the 18400 block of Governor’s Highway. A witness told police the woman clutched and ripped Lang’s T-shirt as he exited the vehicle around 7:50 a.m. Lang then reached back into the vehicle and struck the woman, according to the police report. A bond hearing for Lang was scheduled for June 14.  

TUESDAY, JUNE 12

Stolen Clothing

Two juveniles were issued municipal ordinance violation citations for retail theft and a third juvenile was charged with retail theft after each took clothing from a store in the 17600 block of Halsted Street. Store security watched as the youths hid a pair of shorts, a skirt and two baby jumpers in a backpack one of them carried and then left the store without paying the $84 they owed for the merchandise. All three juveniles—two girls and one boy—were released to their parents’ custody.
