Harvey Woman Charged In Pool Cue Attack At Homewood Speedway

Chrishwana L. Frazier is charged with pepper-spraying and whipping another woman with a pool-cue at a busy Homewood gas station.

A 20-year-old Harvey woman is charged with whipping and pepper-spraying a Lynwood woman at the Speedway Gas Station apparently because she did not like the other woman's facial expression, police said.

Around 4:41 p.m. Thursday, July 7, Homewood police were flagged down at the gas station by a Cook County Sheriff's Correctional officer, who had placed Chrishwana L. Frazier, of the 15000 block of Honore in custody.

The Lynwood woman then told police she was driving southbound on Halsted when she observed Frazier embroiled in a traffic altercation with a third female driver.

All three women apparently turned into Speedway to gas up, and the Lynwood woman said she made expressions of disgust as Frazier continued to fight with that other woman, police said.

Frazier, apparently offended by the Lynwood woman's body language, turned away from that first fight and began cussing and calling the Lynwood woman names, police said.

The Lynwood woman admitted she then got out of her vehicle and yelled right back, according to the report.

However, the Lynwood woman said Frazier then pepper-sprayed her, leaving her right eye and mouth burning, whereupon she swung in self-defense and punched the Harvey woman in the head, police said.

The correctional officer and the Lynwood woman told Homewood police they thought the fight was concluded, but then Frazier whipped out a broken pool cue and began whaling on the Lynwood woman, according to the report.

At that point, fearing the women's fight was veering out of control, the officer handcuffed Frazier until Homewood police officers arrived at the gas station at 18002 Halsted St., according to the report.

Frazier argued that the Lynwood woman who struck first, but a witness contradicted her story. Fraizer is charged with battery, assault and disorderly conduct, police said. She has an Aug. 18 date in Markham Court. The broken pool stick was photographed and placed into evidence.
