Homewood Police Find Balloon Filled with Cocaine

The balloon was spotted on a porch roof on Gottschalk Avenue.

Homewood police found a small orange object on the roof of a rear porch in town—which turned out to be a balloon filled with a white rocky substance. 

The orange balloon was pulled from a roof in the 17900 block of Gottschalk Avenue May 1, and police discovered it contained approximately 62 grams of cocaine.

The balloon was sent to the Illinois State Crime lab for further processing. Case pending possible print identification from balloon.
