Homewood Police Issue Press Release in Response to Recent Raid

A search warrant was executed in response to an on-going narcotics investigation, according to police.

Homewood police, in conjunction with the South Suburban Emergency Response Team (SSERT), acted on a search warrant obtained through an “on-going narcotics investigation” by the department, according to the release.

Police confiscated 25 grams of marijuana in addition to paraphernalia, according to the release. In addition to the drugs, Henry Dondle, 22, and Eric Stevens, 23, both of 1554 Terrace Ave were arrested. Dondle was charged with possession of marijuana and Stevens was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia, according to police.

The report indicates there have been previous search warrants obtained for the same residence due to prior narcotics investigations.

According to police, Eric Stevens was formerly charged with possession of marijuana with intent to deliver after a Jan. 7, 2011, warrant was obtained. Stevens was also charged with possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia following a July 23, 2010, warrant. Another man was charged along with Stevens under the same warrant. Both were living at the 1554 Terrace address at the time of their charges.
