Man, 19, Charged in Connection With Homewood Shooting Death

Cedar Rapids police arrested the man thought responsible for killing 19-year-old Henry Kormoi last week, according to The Gazette.

Police have arrested the man thought responsible for the shooting death of a 19-year-old Homewood man last week, reports The Gazette.

Lamar C. Wilson, 19, was arrested in Cedar Rapids, Iowa and charged with first-degree murder in connection with the death of Henry Kormoi. Kormoi of the 1100 block of 187th Street, was shot and outside his Homewood home shortly after 11 p.m. on June 18. He was taken to Advocate South Suburban Hospital in Hazel Crest where he was pronounced dead at 11:47 p.m., according to authorities. 

Police say Kormoi knew the gunman that killed him prior to the attack.
