Man Attempts to Lure Flossmoor Student

Flossmoor Police are warning of a medium build white male who tried to get a Flossmoor student in his vehicle during a walk back from school.

A Flossmoor student was approached by a suspicious man yesterday around 3:50 p.m. while walking home from school, according to a notification from Flossmoor Police.

The student was approached on the 800 block of Park Drive by the man who was described as a white male in his 30s with brown hair and a medium build, according to police. Police said the man pulled along side the student in a four-door, older white vehicle and asked if the student wanted a ride. The student replied, “no,” and then ran back to school where administrators were notified.

Officers canvassed the area in search for the man without result, according to the release. Police said they will continue to conduct patrols in the areas around local schools during morning and dismissal times.
