Man In Black Ski Mask Burglarizes Flossmoor Home

Flossmoor police released a special warning today after a Flossmoor home was burglarized, possibly by a man in a black ski mask.

A man wearing a black ski mask is suspected of breaking into a Flossmoor home and stealing laptop computers, jewelry and a television, according to a community alert issued by Flossmoor police Tuesday afternoon.

On  Feb. 7, just after 5:50 p.m., a resident in the 1200 block of Douglas Avenue returned home and noticed that the back door of the house was damaged, according to the police report. Police arrived on the scene and discovered that laptop computers, jewelry and a television were missing, the report said.

The report indicates that while officers were canvassing the area, they learned a man wearing a black ski mask, black jacket and blue jeans was seen on the side of the burglarized house between 12:45 p.m. and 1:15 p.m. The report also describes a white work van with no side or rear windows being observed just south of the home.
