SATURDAY, MARCH 24

Loaded Guns Found on Cab Driver

Reginald Clark, 49, of the 0-100 block of Burr Ridge Parkway in Burr Ridge was charged with two counts of unlawful use of a weapon, improper use of registration, no valid registration and improper display of registration. Police said they stopped Clark’s taxi cab at Ridge Road and Halsted Street around 3:15 a.m. for driving with tinted plates registered to another car and found two loaded handguns. According to the report, Clark admitted ownership of only one of the guns, whereas his passenger at the time denied owning the other.

Punching, Biting at Ridgewood Tap

Anthony Aurelio, 32, of the 700 block of Coales Road in Chicago Heights was charged with battery after several witnesses alleged he repeatedly punched a man in the face inside Ridgewood Tap and then bit his hand as they fell to the ground. Witnesses also told police that Aurelio bit a second man who tried breaking up the fight. Aurelio, who reportedly had scratches on his head and body, claimed he had been attacked first and was merely defending himself. Police said paramedics took one man with blood on his face and hands to the hospital around 1 a.m. According to the report, all subjects had been “impaired by alcohol at the time of the fight.”

Domestic Battery Filed

Police said a complaint was signed against Daniel Roberts, 47, of the 17600 block of 65th Avenue in Tinley Park for domestic battery, though he refused by telephone to meet with Homewood police officers. A woman alleged that she and Roberts were drinking and arguing at 5th Quarter Bar and Grill when Roberts repeatedly slapped her and then pushed her to the ground. According to the report, Roberts fled the bar on foot and could not be located at his home.

THURSDAY, MARCH 22

Retail Theft

Yvonne T. Watson, 21, of the 1200 block of Mackinaw Avenue in Calumet City was charged with retail theft. Security at a store in the 17500 block of Halsted Street told police Watson was caught on camera hiding health and beauty products totaling $121 in her purse and leaving around 3 p.m.
