MONDAY, JUNE 11
Park Closes at Sundown
Kalen Tartt, 19, of 18910 Jonathan Lane, was charged with criminal trespass to real property and resisting a peace officer after he eluded police on foot in Pinewood Park at 11:01 p.m. Tartt reportedly ran from an officer who was investigating people in the park after hours, and refused to obey police commands for him to stop. He has a court date of July 13 at the 6th Municipal District Courthouse in Markham.
Real Citation for Fake Birth Date
A juvenile, whose name was not released, received a municipal ordinance violation citation for obstructing identification after she gave police a phony birth date during a traffic stop at 1:30 a.m., police said. The girl was the only one of three occupants in the vehicle whom police could not positively identify during the stop near Flossmoor Road and Kedzie Avenue, according to the police report. She later reportedly admitted she lied and gave officers her correct date of birth after they said they would have to fingerprint her in order to obtain her identity. She was ticketed and then released to her mother’s custody, police said.

SUNDAY, JUNE 10
Motor Vehicle Burglary
Someone took an AM-FM CD player, $100 and a Cook County Sheriff’s Work Alternative Program card from a vehicle that was parked in the 18300 block of Morris Avenue, police said. The burglar or burglars pried open and looted the vehicle between 11 p.m. June 9 and 7 a.m. June 10, according to the police report.

SATURDAY, JUNE 9
Retail Theft
Cynthia Green, 45, of 34 E. 155th Street, Harvey, was charged with felony retail theft after she took clothing with a total retail value of $69.95 from a store in the 17600 block of Halsted Street at 8:05 p.m. Green, who had prior retail theft convictions on her record, hid two pairs of sandals, two shirts and a package of underwear in her purse and left the store without paying, police said.
