Neighbor Issues
A man living in the 2900 block of Chayes Park Drive told police around 4:30 p.m. that his female neighbor has been harassing him for years about how he mows the grass along their adjacent yards. “Close enough!” and “You’ve helped yourself to enough grass!” are statements she has allegedly made. The man claimed he recently found a hand-written note from her in the mailbox and wanted it documented in the event the harassment escalates.
About three hours later, a man living in the 1400 block of Ridge Road told police that he had rushed his dog to the Flossmoor Animal Hospital after his neighbor’s pit bull jumped a fence and attacked. It was the second time in a month that the pit bull had attacked his dog, he said, but he only wanted the incident documented. The neighbor promised to chain the dog up in the future.
