Murder Confession Scrawled on Sheet Rock in Homewood?

An eerie discovery found in the 1800 block of Terrace Road.

A construction crew working on remodeling a property in Homewood made a—telling—discovery April 30, when they found what appeared to be a murder confession scrawled on a piece of sheet rock.

The words read, "Killed Matt Smith, 10/4/85, Secret," with additional warnings to take care of the residence—and haunt whomever found the message.

The sheet rock pieces with the writings—found in the 1800 block of Terrace Road—were taken and placed into evidence with Homewood police.

Police report information is provided by Homewood police. Charges are not evidence of guilt.
