Parade of Lights Makes Its Way to Homewood

A silent procession will be held Tuesday night to honor fallen firefighters.

The annual South Holland and Homewood parade of lights will pass through both villages Tuesday evening.

The silent parade is intended to honor the memory of fallen firefighters, like Homewood's Brian Carey, who died in the line of duty in 2010.

The parade begins in South Holland around 7:30 p.m. and travels down Ridge Road before ending at the Homewood Fire Department. Anyone wishing to view the parade should get a good vantage point anywhere on Ridge, east of Dixie.
