Police Recover Coke and Guns in Flossmoor Drug Bust

Police said Claudel Wilson, 45, is charged with unlawful use of a weapon and possession of a controlled substance after a raid on Thursday.

A drug raid in Flossmoor on Thursday has resulted in the arrest of a 45-year-old man who police said had guns and cocaine.

Claudel Wilson, 45, of the 1200 block of Oakmont Avenue, is charged with two counts unlawful use of a weapon by a felon, armed violence and possession of a controlled substance, police said. About 50 grams of cocaine, two loaded handguns and some extra ammo were seized in a raid early Friday morning.

Police received a tip about drugs allegedly being sold out of the Oakmount Avenue residence, according to authorities. Chicago Heights and Flossmoor police, working with the South Suburban Emergency Response Team, executed a search warrant at about 6:30 a.m. on Thursday.

This is the second time officers have served a warrant on Wilson and at the address, police said.

Flossmoor Chief Mike Pulec thanked the Chicago Heights Police Department for including the department in the investigation and stop the ongoing sale of drugs in the community.
