A woman told Homewood police someone used her credit card three times June 8 to charge merchandise with a retail value of $4,617 at a store in the 17600 block of Halsted Street. The woman added she’d lost her purse and its contents somewhere near Ultra Foods in Lansing some time prior to the credit fraud incident.

Khannabis in Khakis

Henry Kormoi, 18, of 1124 W. 187th Street, Homewood, was charged with possession of cannabis after the car he was riding in was stopped for speeding in the 18300 block of Halsted at 11:50 p.m. Police found 3.4 grams of cannabis down the front of Kormoi’s pants, according to the police report. For driving 38 mph in a 25 mph zone, the driver received a warning, police said. Kormoi has a court date of July 13 at the 6th Municipal District Courthouse in Markham.

WEDNESDAY, JUNE 6

Get Out of the Kitchen

Two juveniles were photographed and fingerprinted and contact sheets were completed for each of them after they tried to enter a residence in the 18200 block of Morgan Avenue by climbing through a kitchen window at 11:56 a.m. Police said juvenile petitions would be filed against two youths, both about 12 years old, who told police they were looking for a cell phone belonging to one of them. The boys were processed and released into the custody of their parents.
