MONDAY, MARCH 26

Domestic Battery

Daniel Olotsson, 57, of the 18500 block of Marshfield Avenue in Homewood was arrested and charged with domestic battery after a woman alleged he grabbed her arm and threatened her inside his home around 12:30 p.m.

Man Robbed in Street at Gunpoint

A man told police he had been held up at gunpoint in the 1800 block of Gladville Avenue while walking home from Dairy Queen. Taken were his cell phone, iPod and $7 cash at the end of a black .357 revolver with a white handle, according to the report. The alleged armed robber was described only as black and was last seen, around 8 p.m., jumping in the passenger side of a white car with tinted windows headed eastbound on Ridge Road. Police said they were working on bringing a sketch artist from the Cook County Sheriff's Office to help with a possible identification.

DUI of Drugs and Alcohol

William Porter, 28, of the 9800 block of Winston Avenue in Chicago was charged with driving under the combined influence of drugs and alcohol, improper lighting, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of cannabis. Police said Porter failed field sobriety tests but later passed a Breathalyzer exam after stopping his car at Dixie Highway and Vardon Lane around 2 a.m. for driving with one headlight. His car smelled of marijuana and officers found a bag containing 1.5 grams of it in his center console, according to the report.
