Steger Man Faces 2 Pot Possession Charges from Separate Investigations: Blotter

DUI Charges For Homewood Man

Byron Okeke, 24, of the 18400 block of Poplar Court, Homewood, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, DUI with a blood-alcohol content greater than 0.08, failing to signal when required and illegally transporting alcohol, according to a report. Police stopped Okeke at about 3:24 p.m. in the 1700 block of Willow Road. An officer noticed the driver had a strong odor of alcohol on his breath. Police also noticed a Crown Royal bottle on the floor of the car.

Two Marijuana Possession Charges

Tolman Moutry, 23, in the 3700 block of Union Avenue, Steger, was charged with two counts of possession of marijuana, according to a report. While police were on their way to arrest Moutry in a separate narcotics investigation, they allegedly found 14 baggies of suspected marijuana in his home and another plastic baggie with a green substance that tested positive for marijuana in his pocket.

Theft of Calvin Klein Cologne

Timothy Horton, 43, of the 15700 block of Willard Avenue, Harvey, was charged with retail theft, according to a report. He is accused of placing one $55 bottle of Calvin Klein men's cologne in his jacket at around 8:25 p.m. and leaving Kohl's, 17620 Halsted St., without paying. He was due on May 10 in Markham court.
