String of Home Burglaries Hits Flossmoor Neighborhood

Three similar burglaries have happened in the same neighborhood over the past three weeks.

Police are warning residents to stay vigilant after the third in a string of recent home break-ins occurred Monday night in Flossmoor's Ballantrae neighborhood.

Police say someone broke into a home in the 3700 block of Culloden Street sometime around sundown on Oct. 21. The burglary matches the description of two additional burglaries reported earlier this month: one in the 1400 block of Dunfries Street on Oct. 7 and another in the 1400 block of Lanark Street on Oct. 10.

Officers say they have have increased patrols in the area.
