Woman Arrested Fourth Time for Domestic Battery: Homewood Police Blotter

SATURDAY, FEB. 11
Retail Theft
Darnell Leach, 26, of the 9300 block of Hunter Drive in Orland Hills was charged with retail theft. Security at a store in the 17500 block of Halsted Street said Leach left without paying for three bottles of liquor totaling $117. He was arrested in the parking lot around 7 p.m.

Battery
Christopher Davis, 24, of the 12400 block of State Street in Chicago was charged with battery. A fellow employee at CDS Marketing on Halsted Street told police that Davis hit him in the face and neck with his fist and head, following an argument around 11:30 a.m. Officers reported minor abrasions and bruising on the man. He refused medical treatment.
Retail Theft
Kimberly Hill, 22, of the 500 block of Freeland Avenue in Calumet City was charged with retail theft and driving on a suspended license. Security at a store in the 17500 block of Halsted Street said Hill left without paying for several pieces of baby clothing valued at $90. Police said they stopped Hill’s car less than a block away, around 1:45 p.m., and arrested her. The clothing was reportedly found in the store’s parking lot, near the exit.

WEDNESDAY, FEB. 8
Battery, Fourth Time Around
Asaia Rampage, 46, of the 1500 block of 183rd Street in Homewood was charged with domestic battery. Police said they stopped a car at 183rd Street and Governors Highway around 8:30 a.m. for swerving. Its driver told police that Rampage, his passenger, repeatedly punched him in the face following an argument. She denied hitting him, but a witness in another car verified the man’s side of the story, police said. Officers noted that the man was bleeding from the nose and mouth when they spoke with him.
Homewood police also charged Rampage with domestic battery on April 19, 2011; May 8, 2011; and Dec. 29, 2011.
