Beer Sales on Tap at Farmers Market

The village of Homewood will now allow beer sales, in addition to previously established wine tastings, at its Farmers Market on Saturdays.

The Homewood farmers Market just got a bit more interesting, thanks to a move by the village board to allow the sale of beer at this year's market.

The move comes after the board approved a change to the village's liquor sale ordinance at its May 28, meeting.

“Nothing really changed, it's just adding the ability to sell beer at our farmers Market,” said Village Manager Jim Marino. “Our liquor license allowed wine tastings before, now beer can be sold, too.”

The village's Farmers Market takes place every Saturday from May 11 through October 19, from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. For more information, call 708-798-3000.
