The Homewood-Flossmoor Park District will host the second annual Southland Vision Solutions Expo from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, May 21, at the Irwin Community Center, 18120 S. Highland Ave., Homewood.
Adults age 55 and up with low vision can learn about the services and resources available to help maintain their current lifestyle and activities.
A retinal specialist and low-vision optometrist will be on hand to discuss the latest treatments for age-related eye disease, as well as methods for maximizing vision. Products, services, and technologies for enhancing the quality of life for those with low vision will also be exhibited.
The Expo is hosted in conjunction with The Guild for the Blind and Vision Rehab Inc.
