See Spot strut in the annual pooch parade at noon at Homewood's annual Dog Days of Summer event. The Community Relations Commission and Homewood-Flossmoor Park District host this event in beautiful Irwin Park.
This event features live entertainment, music, food, specialty dog vendors, kid activities with games and contests, and, of course, Homewood's annual pooch parade at noon. Hundreds of costumed dogs strut Irwin Park entertaining dog-less gawkers as they compete for "Top Dog" in five unique categories:
- Most Original Owner-Dog Team
- Most Humorous
- Most Unique
- Best Celebrity Look-Alike
- Best in Parade (overall)
